Psychological Evaluations for Diagnosis and Treatment Planning
Hillcrest Psychological Services is proud to offer psychologists who are trained to provide full psychological assessments that can assist with more rapid diagnosis and treatment planning. Psychological evaluations include a combination of normed-referenced psychological tests, interviews, and observations that result in either a rapid assessment or deeper understanding of a person’s behavior, personality dynamics, mental health issues and/or cognitive abilities. Once the assessment is complete, a full written report is provided and a meeting with the psychologist is arranged to provide feedback and answer any questions.
Autism Spectrum Disorders and ADHD Evaluations
Individuals learn and process information differently. Sometimes these differences can lead to feelings of frustration and inadequacy when it comes to communicating effectively, forming friendships, identifying and regulating emotions, and accomplishing tasks that require maintained concentration. Often deficits in time management and organizational skills contribute to performance below one’s ability level. Our therapists are trained to assess and diagnose autism spectrum disorders and attention deficit hyperactivity disorders (ADHD). Strengths are identified as we work together to establish new patterns of behaving that strengthens the process of effective communication.
